Omni Tech Desk Offers Affordable Support For Windows XP PCs

I was shocked when Microsoft announced last April that it was going to end support for Windows XP because more than a dozen of old PCs in my office had Windows XP operating system in them. I had no other option but to continue using XP because most of the PCs had very low hardware configurations.

Obviously, upgrading to a new Windows operating system was not a choice for me. In fact, I had checked this option with a number of experts and they told me that I had to upgrade my hardware in order to install a latest Windows operating system, say Windows 7 or Windows 8. Well, after estimating the cost to upgrade the hardware parts of my old PCs and the cost to upgrade the OS, it became clear to me that the overall cost is almost equal to buying dozens of new PCs preinstalled with a latest operating system. Hence, I decided to sign a contract with a third party tech support provider for my Windows XP computers.

Omni Tech support for Windows XP

Omni Tech support was introduced to me by my friend. He told me that it was the best third party tech support service for Windows XP. However, when I searched about the company online, I got to see more Omni Tech support fraud reports than good reviews. Later on, it was revealed to me by a happy OmniTech customer that they were just scams, aimed at redirecting people who are trying to contact Omni Tech support.

When I contacted Omni Tech support desk first time, seeking technical support for my Windows XP machines, I was requested by them to take a look at different subscription offers they have. Because I had almost a dozen of old PCs and I had no plan to ditch them shortly, I took a one year subscription plan. As per my request, they helped me customize the subscription package with services that I most wanted.

Omni Tech support desk covers a wide range of issues. I contacted them on several occasions for support, to resolve issues like virus infection, software corruption, OS corruption, network connection issues etc. Each time, they were able to fix the issue in less than half an hour.

As an experienced user, I advise all Windows XP users to seek support from OmniTech desk to ensure better security for their PCs. Furthermore, I advise you to ignore Omni Tech support fraud reports because they are all just fake.

How To Enable Auto Email Archiving In Microsoft Outlook?

Microsoft’s email client application Outlook can be used both for personal and office communications. The application offers better options and features, for instance email monitoring and email archiving for effective office communication. In an office setting, it is very important to keep an eye on the emails you receive or sent from your Outlook application. Moreover, there are occasions when you may want to maintain a database of all the emails sent to the clients for future references by your boss. Using the built-in email archiving option, you can create a database of all the Outlook emails you received or sent.

However, instead of using the built-in options for email arching and monitoring, a large number of users would send a carbon copy of the email to another email address. Well, this is fine as long as you don’t mind going to the alternative email account every time for reviewing the emails. I am sure, going this way, you will soon get fed up. You can evade this mess by making use of the built-in email monitoring and archiving option, which is both simple and effective. For real time assistance, consider testing Omni tech support desk.

Instructions
  • Outlook lets you set up automatic email archiving at multiple frequencies. You are free to decide how often you want the application to archive the emails. After determining the frequency for email archiving (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly), set it accordingly in the Outlook settings. For that, launch your Outlook application.
  • Go to the menu labelled File and choose the option that says Import and Export. This will initiate the import and export wizard.
  • Following that, click the option that says Export to a file.
  • A dropdown menu will appear now, asking you to specify the action that has to be performed. After choosing the desired action, select the Next button.
  • Next, choose PST (Personal Folder File) from the dropdown menu titled Type of files. Select Next to continue.
  • In this section, specify the folder that has to be archived. Once done, continue by clicking Next.
  • Specify the folder to which the files need to be archived.
  • Once done, click OK followed by Finish.
Email archiving is highly recommended if you have to review or monitor your sent or received emails from time to time. For any help, contact the Omnitech support desk. If you are not convinced about the support offered by Omnitech support, feel free to take this as an opportunity for testing Omni tech support services.

Chat Headset - A Wonderful Addition To Your Xbox One System

If you thought you could win a multiplayer game in Xbox One by totally relying on your individual gaming skills, you are perhaps mistaken. Well, individual skills can be helpful to a great extent, however they are quite inadequate without teamwork and frequent communication.

The significance of communication in gaming is as important as the same in any other areas. Trying to shoot your enemies without teamwork or communication is similar to trying to catch a black cat from a dark room. You need to pay attention to the alerts sent to you by your teammates about the location of your enemies. The shooting should be done at the exact timing. It would be disastrous if you try to shoot your enemy too early or too late. To help gamers communicate with each co-players while playing adventure games in Xbox One, Microsoft has introduced a pretty good add-on, a chat headset.

Xbox One Chat Headset

According to Omnitech support desk, a popular PC support firm located in California, the benefits of the Chat headset while playing multi player games in Xbox One are immense. It can help you stay tuned to your co-players or to the reactions of your enemies and be prepared to shoot them down at the right time. Chat Headset can be very useful while playing shooting games. Nevertheless, its uses are not just restricted to this alone. Some of the key features of Xbox One Chat Headset are described below.

Clear digital voice

With Xbox One chat headset, you can hear clear digital voice. The headset comes with a responsive microphone. Using this, you can instruct your co-players to do what has to be done to diffuse the traps of your enemies. The headset is lightweight and thus does not make you feel heavy on the head. Obviously, it is ideal for long gaming sessions.

Easy options for adjusting the volume

Unlike other headphones, the Xbox One chat headset does not require your hands to adjust the volume or to customize the audio quality. You can connect it to your wireless controller and use it quite comfortably.

The Chat headset is certainly a valuable addition to your Xbox One gaming system. It can make your gaming experience more exciting and entertaining. Get it today. For any details such as the price of the headset or the availability of the headset in your region, contact our Omnitech support desk.

HP Devotes Sales Push To Windows 7

As per the latest news, Hewlett and Packard is continuing to push Windows 7 in its business portfolio with a whopping 40 out of 54 laptops on their UK website selling this popular operating system from Microsoft. Windows 7 Is Still Alive And Kicking

To sweeten the deal, HP is also offering a number of cash back deals that range from 50 pounds to 200 pounds, depending on whether the businesses are buying other accessories monitors, docking stations or not. It is worth noting that the push in the United States appears to be geared towards the consumers. But this is not the case in United Kingdom where HP does not sell laptops that are powered by the Windows 7 operating system. The reason for this decision of HP is obviously the popularity and the stability of the Windows 7 operating system.

Windows 7 OS is still the most popular operating system in the market with more than half of the Windows operating system market. This is a whopping number for Microsoft. Steps To Setup Application Specific Passwords To Access Outlook.Com

To ensure that your Outllok.com account is secure, two-step authentication with the need of a password, and a code generated in near time, can prove to be an invaluable tool. Email programs that are logging to Outlook.com through Post Office Protocol (POP) only know your login password though, and will not be able to fetch codes.

While the Outlook.com password will be refused, and you will be getting a login error in the email client program, you will be able to set up specific Outlook.com passwords for use in the email clients that work even with two-step verification that is otherwise required. The users will be able to make a new POP password for each of the applications, and if anything suspicious happens, all the passwords that are made so will be disabled easily and fast.

There are many tech support firms that can help you in setting up application specific passwords in Outlook.com. Omnitech support is one such tech support firm that offers very good Outlook support, but many people wrongly refer to Omnitech support as OmniTech Support ripoff. In reality, Omnitech support is a tech support company that offers great tech support services. The support tips that are shared below will help you to know more on the steps to be done to make application specific passwords in Outlook.com.

Instructions
  • Log into your Outlook.com account, and then click on your name or avatar in the top navigation bar of Outlook.com
  • Choose Account Settings. If prompted, type in Outlook.com account password. After that, click on Sign in, open the Security info category that is located under Overview.
  • Under App passwords, click on Create a new app password.
Use the password that appears under 'Use this app password', to sign in to the email program.

These are the simple steps to make application specific passwords in Outlook.com via POP. A Comparison Between Windows 7 And Windows 8

Windows 8 is the latest operating system released by Microsoft as a successor to Windows 7. However, when comparing Windows 7 vs Windows 8, there are quite a few points that need to be considered. Even though the Windows 8 operating system is blessed with plenty of features and functions, Windows 7 remains on top when considering the OS market share. This means that Windows 7 is still more popular than Windows 8. Now, let’s compare both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

One of the biggest advantages of using Windows 8 is its lesser boot up time. It was found that the new operating system takes very little time to boot up completely when compared to previous versions and in fact, it is reduced by nearly 33 percent. Moreover, it was found that Windows 8 OS only takes 18 seconds to boot up whereas the boot time for Windows 7 is 27 seconds, if you are using Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB HDD. This means that the SSD users can boot Windows 8 in lesser time.

There are also some major differences when considering the time taken to shut down for both of the operating systems. It was found that Windows 8 only takes 8 seconds to shut down whereas a Windows 7 computer takes nearly 12 seconds for the same purpose. Windows 8 has also shown a marginal improvement regarding the Wake up from Sleep time. In fact, Windows 8 requires only 10 seconds for waking up from sleep whereas the wake up from sleep time for Windows 7 is 13 seconds when using the standard hard disk types. Since the laptops have special power saving modes, a Windows 7 laptop only takes less than 5 seconds to recover from sleep mode.

When taking the comparison regarding the browsers, one of the most efficient browsers so far is Chrome v21. Even though IE10 performed better than Windows 7 when we ran the Mozilla Kraken benchmark test, the same was not the case in the Google V8 test. Hence, it is evident that Google and Firefox internet browsers perform much better in Windows 8 when compared to Windows 7 operating system.

From all the above points, it is clear that Windows 8 stands out much superior to the all other versions of the Windows OS and hence offers a solid foundation for work or play. For more Windows 7 vs Windows 8 comparisons, check out the Windows tech support page.

Exporting Your Outlook 2010 Contacts To CSV

Outlook lets you manage all of your email accounts from a single place. What it also does is let you save and access your contacts on the computer, so that you don’t have to type in email IDs each time you send a message. Stop Outlook 2010 Crashing Errors

Outlook 2010 is generally found to be a dependable email management tool, but then it’s not above crashing once in a while. If you have something of that sort happen when you need to be working on something important, you’d find Outlook repair to be a tad difficult. try it long enough, and you’ll come around to the opinion that a reinstall is needed. Alternately, you could reset the user profile, or even try starting the application in Safe Mode.

How to reinstall

You need to do this right, and without using shortcuts.
  • Go to the Start menu and open Control Panel. Click Programs and choose Uninstall a Program. Then from the list of options shown, select Microsoft Office 2010 and then choose Change.
  • Hit Add or Remove Features when you get the installation screen, and then hit Continue. Then select Not Available from the dropdown next to Microsoft Outlook and choose Continue.
  • When you’ve fully taken out Outlook, repeat the steps once again, with the only difference being that you set Outlook to Run from My Computer. That’s how you reinstall it.
Repairing the user profile

Sometimes it’s the user profile that’s been damaged and not the application itself. So that’s what needs to be fixed.

Go to the Control Panel and then go to User Accounts. Choose Mail (or Mail 32-bit), then select E-Mail Accounts. When you get the screen, choose the Outlook account you wish to fix, and hit the Repair icon. Click Next and follow the instructions shown there. This will repair the email configuration automatically.

Restart the application in Safe Mode

If you still have the same problems as before despite having tried the above methods, then you should try and open Outlook in the safe mode. After you do this, you’ll be able to find out what exactly went wrong, and if it’s still that way. If the problem hasn’t gone away, chances are it’s caused by an add-in.

Open the program in normal mode, and navigate through File -> Options -> Add-Ins. In the Add-Ins screen, you’ll be able to see the add-ins that are currently installed in the system. If there’s any third-party add-ins in there, then try disabling them one by one to see if the problems been removed. This way you’ll be able to see, which add-on isn’t good for the program, and remove it.

That was on how to fix frequent crashing errors in Outlook 2010. Call our tech support for similar Outlook repair or assistance.

Procedure To Uninstall Windows 8 And Install Windows 7 On Your System

Windows 8 was anticipated as the most revolutionary operating system to be ever released by the software giant Microsoft Corporation. But, the operating system did not do well in the market as expected. Considering the pre-release hype, Windows 8 should have been received like hot cakes. However, nothing seems to be going right for Windows 8 and Microsoft as the release bombed big time.

There were many reasons why Windows 8 failed miserably. One major part is played by the difficult to absorb the user interface of the new operating system. Windows 8 is tremendously different from any other Windows operating system that users ever used until now. It probably came as a culture shock for them. Whatever the reason be, many users wish to stick with Windows XP and Windows 7, instead of upgrading to Windows 8. Some even started enquiring how to uninstall Windows 8 and roll back to Windows 7 after the upgrade.

Uninstalling Windows 8

When you have enabled Legacy Boot and changed your boot order in Windows 8, it will be possible to boot into installation media and begin installing Windows 7. First, you will be seeing a prompt to start the installation process. When the installation process starts, you need to choose your language and region and then click on Install Now button. You will then be asked to agree Microsoft’s software license. You need to choose between an Upgrade or Custom Installation. After that, choose the destination drive for the OS install. For instance, you can install Windows 7 to your C: drive.

The next step is to uninstall Windows 8 from your system. You can select the various partitions on the hard drive and go through the process of deleting each one. All this is actually handled in the installer, giving you the option to remove or format each partition as it is selected. Be careful when this takes place and while choosing the partition to be deleted, because they cannot be retrieved after they are removed.

Your computer will finally boot into Windows, and you will be asked to enter a 25-digit Product Key. Actually, you can proceed without one, but you will be interrupted by warnings, as if you are using a pirated version of Windows. After the installation, do not forget to install the necessary drivers like Network drivers, trackpad, graphics etc. When done, you can start using your computer powered by Windows 7 again.

New Alliances And Cloud Offerings Announced By Microsoft

Microsoft is always innovative and tends to search for new ideas to make their products more user friendly and popular. One such effort taken by Microsoft to remove the barriers from cloud adoption is by starting new partnerships and products with the assumption that most of the businesses will tend to rely on cloud services more by the year 2017. Brad Anderson, the Vice President of Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise edition said that the future of the business depends on mobility/Cloud and that “the future is now.”

He said, “Our differentiated Cloud innovations, comprehensive mobile productivity solutions and developer tools help all of our customers realize the true potential of the Cloud era." As a part of their project, to launch wide range of new products, Microsoft used the TechEd North American forum, which is similar to Microsoft help forum. The new product includes the introduction of private connections to the Cloud. Moreover, there is Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, which will help the users to make connections that are private between on premises environment and Azure.

By starting partnerships with companies like Equinix, BT, AT&T, TelecityGroup, SingTel, Zadara Storage and Verizon, new options for embracing the cloud will be offered by ExpressRoute. This will also include some features like security, low latency, fast speeds, and other reliability features. By enabling a single file share from multiple virtual machines, Microsoft Azure files streamline the cloud storage. This will help to save huge sums of money and time. In addition, Microsoft also introduced some computer-intensive virtual machines, reserved IP addresses and in-region and cross-region virtual networking connections.

The preview of the Azure API Management is also available and the users can make use of it to create new business models and to improve the inter-departmental information sharing. This is mainly done by revealing APIs with the use of cloud based services. In the coming month, we will see the introduction of the preview of Azure Site Recovery, which was formerly called as Hyper-V Recovery Manager. With the introduction of this, the users can recover the files more effectively and by paying lesser costs.

With this new feature, a customer can easily recover or replicate virtual machines in Windows Azure, if any error or failure occurs in the main datacenters. Moreover, Microsoft is also introducing a preview of Microsoft Antimalware for Azure, which will help the users to install antivirus software for both virtual machines and cloud services. For more news and information regarding this, refer the Microsoft help forum.

Remote Desktop App Preview For Windows Phone 8.1 Updated

The Redmond based software giant Microsoft Corporation recently released the preview of Remote Desktop App for Windows Phone 8.1. The preview notes a few minor changes in the version 8.1.2 of the app. One of the changes in the app is finding short name of the system that the user is trying to connect. Another enhancement in the new version is the added ability to perform NetBIOS name resolution, apart from the normal Domain Name Server lookup done usually. Last but not the least, the software maker made it easier for customers using Windows Phone 8.1 to access on-screen keyboard while tapping into a text field in the app.

If you are not aware, Microsoft's Remote Desktop App is actually an application that can be downloaded from the Windows Store. This software gives the ability to connect with a remote computer easily. You might have seen the remote desktop feature being utilized for Windows tech support purposes. Windows tech support personnel usually use remote desktop feature for accessing PCs to resolve issues.

This Remote Desktop App can be used to connect a Windows Phone 8.1 device, be it a phablet, smartphone, or tablet, with a work single PC, or connect with multiple remote desktop PCs. This recent preview came out immediately after version 8.1.1. However, there are still certain enterprise and management functionality features lacking.

For example, there is support for Remote Desktop Gateway in the app. This means that encrypted transport is still not possible with it. Others functionalities that are excluded include Remote Desktop Connection Broker and RemoteApp. However, it is reported that these features in Remote Desktop will be added some time later this year, and the updated version will be available to Windows Phone 8.1 users soon.

Apart from the new preview, the software maker also revealed that it is seeking feedback from users on which all features should be added to the Remote Desktop App in its next release. One of the top suggestions says that the app should provide the ability to synchronize connections to OneDrive (Microsoft’s cloud storage service), where another one suggests including the ability to modify the device's screen resolution before a remote connection has been established.

Now, regarding the licensing requirements for these apps, they are not easy. There are complexities like the requirement of client-access licenses and supporting back-end infrastructure for making Remote Desktop to work on Windows as well as non-Windows devices. To learn more on the new app, get in touch with our team of experts over the toll-free number.

Nokia To Release Touch Gesture Sensing McLaren Smartphone Soon

Microsoft is getting ready to put up a brave fight against its competitors in the mobile phone handset market. According to the latest reports, Microsoft is getting ready to release a phone, which will work with gestures, just like the Kinect device that comes with Xbox.

According to Windows online support, Nokia is currently developing the Smartphone codenamed ‘McLaren’, which will function and respond according to your gestures. Some of the features incorporated in the phone are answering to calls while you bring the phone close to your ear, automatic launch of speakerphone, when it is kept over a table etc. The reports also suggest that the phone is capable of automatically ending the call when it is put into the pocket. In order to mute the phone, all you will have to do is hold it to your chest. Another feature is dismissing the alerts by moving the hands over the screen.

The exclusive features seem to be endless in ‘McLaren’. According to Windows online support, the phone comes with a grip detection feature and this will ensure correct display orientation when you lay down. The phone also features 3D touch technology to enhance this feature. Another feature is the touch sensitive sides and the zoom functions. You can zoom in and zoom out the camera simply by swiping the casing of the phone.

Earlier, Microsoft had decided to release the new 3D technology along with the release of Windows Phone 8.1. However, according to the latest reports, we will see this technology only by the end of this year. The sources close to Microsoft say that the new technology could be released as an update this year.
The news about the release of McLaren phones was first revealed by tipster @evleaks. According to @evleaks, the device is ready to be in the market for the holidays and would be available with three service providers, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T. Now, there has been no official confirmation from Microsoft on this matter.

There is also another report that Amazon is also getting ready to launch 3D Smartphones. If these reports are true, the software giant would face fierce competition right from the launch of McLaren. Keep in mind that this is one of the major handsets getting ready to release after Microsoft took over Nokia. There is a lot of expectation on this phone. The success of McLaren would encourage Microsoft to indulge more in the hardware market.

Microsoft Releases New Rules In Outlook.Com To Filter Emails

Microsoft launched their Outlook email service in the internet about two years back in an effort to take back what was once their strong point, being the leader in the email service sector. Microsoft was the first company that owned the first email service provider in the industry, Hotmail.com; however, with the growth of Google and Yahoo in the field, they had to be satisfied with a lesser user base. To take back what was rightfully theirs, Microsoft lunched the Outlook.com by integrating all of their email services like Live and Hotmail.

One of the best features that made people get Microsoft Outlook email service was their new and advanced interface. However, the company did not stop there as they went on to make more improvements with the web mail service by introducing new rules. Rules are specific set of instructions that one can use for filtering the emails they receive in the inbox. With the inclusion of new advanced Rules in the email service, people will be able to access even their old emails easily.

From their latest survey, Microsoft had found that every person who get Microsoft Outlook email address will be getting an average of 184 unread emails in their inbox and more and more emails coming each day. It will be a hefty task to find out the important mails from the junk residing in the inbox. So Microsoft has introduced the advanced and improved rules in their email service so the users will be able to filter out the important emails easily. If you take into account the work emails that are in the inbox, then you will be in real trouble while finding an important email from the inbox.

With the new advanced rules in the email service, users now have the ability to create multi action and multi condition rules with ease so that they will be able to filter out junk emails and important emails. The improvements made to the Rules in the Outlook.com email service also allow the users to combine their existing rules for creating a new rule. There are rules now that allow the user to mark an unread email from one of your contact older than three days as important, so that you will be able to view it on time.

So in short, Outlook.com is now a whole lot better than Gmail email service from Google in terms of features. Get an Outlook account today and see if it fits your requirements better.

Some Security Issues In The Microsoft Outlook App For Android Reported

According to the reports published online by the tech security firm Include Security, the Microsoft Outlook app for the Android OS has some security vulnerabilities that hackers can take advantage of. Tech security firms are always working on the popular software applications out there, trying to find chinks in the application’s armour, so that they can develop better security solutions for customers.

About the security issues in the Microsoft Outlook app for Android

According to these reports, the Outlook setting in these apps for storing user data does not encrypt them automatically. In other words, the Android OS Pin Number security feature alone protects Outlook files stored in your mobile phone. If someone manages to bypass this and access these Outlook files, they can easily read them using any of the standard email applications that support the data format Outlook uses.

Lack of an Outlook setting for automatic encryption of the mail client also means that your Outlook data stored on external storage devices like micro SD cards can also be accessed in the same manner. Once you remove the micro SD card from your smartphone, the Pin Number security feature present in your Android OS no longer protects it.

This means anyone can read these email messages stored in your micro SD card, simply by removing the card and inserting it into some other computer device. Include Security has since brought this problem to Microsoft’s attention. Microsoft has issued a clarification stating that the encryption option was never a default option in the Outlook app.

But, for obvious security reasons, Microsoft should make the encryption of Outlook messages and data, a default function in the Outlook app. It is worth mentioning here that the Outlook app for Android was not developed directly by Microsoft. They assigned this task to the tech firm Seven Networks. Whoever designed it should have included an encryption option that encrypts and stores the Outlook data by default.

According to the Include Security report, the Android using the Outlook app should therefore use an encryption software application to protect the email account configured in their smartphone, especially if it is stored in the micro SD card. The full report is still available online, which you can read if you want to know more about these security issues in the Outlook app.

How To Read HTML Embedded Emails As Plain Text Emails In Outlook 2010?

There are multiple reasons why people get Microsoft Outlook installed on their PCs rather than other email applications. Obviously, the superior features of Outlook are one of the reasons. However, it is the wide acceptability of Outlook that makes it even more appealing.

Outlook, by default, supports both HTML encoded emails and plain text emails. Nevertheless, users prefer reading emails in plain text format to HTML format. The reason for detesting HTML format emails is that they take long time to load, often because of their embedded animations and images. Certainly, it is very irritating to wait, while the images are being loaded, before you could read an email. It is also reported that HTML encoded emails could be carriers of worms and viruses. They could cause virus infections on your PC, risking all your installed applications and valuable data.

Therefore, it is important that you avoid opening HTML encoded emails. But what if an HTML encoded email sent to you is of high importance. You can choose to read an HTML encoded email in plain text format. Obviously, you will not be able view the embedded animation and images when you read it in plain text format. However, you can read the message. The following steps will instruct you on reading HTML embedded email messages as Plain Text in Outlook 2010.

Instructions
  • Open Outlook and locate any HTML embedded email messages that you have received in your inbox. • Go to the File menu and choose Options from the dropdown menu.
  • In the Options section, select Trust Centre followed by Trust Centre Settings.

How To Fix Outlook Errors With Slow Loading Emails In Outlook

Email clients are programs, which allow users to add their internet email accounts in them and use it to download emails from the internet servers to the user computers. Majority of email client programs allow users to add many email accounts and create multiple profiles. One such email client that has large number users is Microsoft’s Outlook. This email client program comes as one of the applications in Microsoft’s Office Suite package.

Now, Outlook can sometimes give its users a few troubles. One such trouble occurs when you encounter the error message Outlook will not load email or it takes too long to load emails. So, what are the reasons behind this issue? The first reason behind this issue is the large number of emails you have in the inbox. With large number of emails in the inbox folder, the program starts to take a bit longer to load all the data. In order to fix this issue, wait for a few seconds or even minutes until the program loads completely.

When the program loads, choose the option Tools from the menu bar and click Options. Select the tab Other and then choose the option AutoArchive. Check the box for AutoArchive Every and then click OK. Select the button OK in the next window. With the above-mentioned step, the Outlook program will start to save the old messages in the inbox folder to the archives. This means, the program has to load lesser data during the startup.

The second reason for the failure to load emails quickly can be associated with registry errors. Keep in mind that Registry is one of the major places where you have the important settings for the operating system and programs stored. Any errors to this database can lead to issues with various programs installed in the computer.

Windows 7 Vs Windows 8: Differences And Similarities

Windows 8 is the latest operating system from Microsoft, preceded by Windows 7. Unlike the previous Windows operating system, Windows 8 garnered more flak than applause, owing to its sharp divergence from what was conventional Windows design. When it was launched, the software giant claimed it incorporated brand new features while retaining many of the traditional Windows ones. Most traditional Windows users overlooked the latter because of omission of things like the Start button, which caused wide customer frustration. Consequently, a large number of them rejected the prospect of migrating to Windows 8.

Windows 7 Vs Windows 8 – major differences

How different is Windows 8 from Windows 7? Do the operating systems have any common features? How many of the user friendly and traditional Windows features has Microsoft retained in Windows 8? Knowing answers to these questions will certainly help you get a wider picture about Windows 8. Below are some of the major new features in Windows 8.

Start Screen or Metro UI

When you turn on a Windows 8 enabled PC, the first screen that appears is the Metro or Start Screen. Don’t expect to see icons for all the programs and applications here. There are Tiles instead. Even the desktop is considered to be an app in Windows 8, and you ought to tap or press the desktop tile to view it.

What am I supposed to do if I don’t see a specific tile in the Start Screen?

It can happen that you don’t see a particular tile in the Start Screen. This does not mean that you can’t access that specific application. If you are sure that you have installed a particular app but the tile is not present in the Start Screen, go to the space at the bottom of the window, and place your mouse there. Right-click your mouse and choose All Apps. You will certainly find the specific app in the All Apps list.

We have discussed some of the major differences Windows 8 holds from Windows 7. Remember that there are many more than those mentioned here. Do a thorough Windows 7 Vs Windows 8 comparison to get a clear picture of each, before you choose which OS to settle on using. Many people use both, and Windows 7 still has support going for it, unlike XP.

Outlook Is Not Just An Email Client

If you use the Microsoft Outlook program to manage your email messages, then you will have quite a number of email addresses stored in the Outlook address book. You might already know that you can add addresses of one or more of your contacts in many different ways with just one click of the mouse. But, if this is the only way that you are using the contacts in the Outlook address book, then you are not making use of the feature to its full capacity. This article discusses some of the ways in which you will be able to tap into the full power of the Outlook program.

Make A Contact From An Email Message

The user can drag and drop a message into the contacts folder to make a new contact automatically using the name and the email address from the message header. The body of the message will appear in the Notes section that can be a valuable reminder of why this particular person contacted you in the first place. If the sender of the message has given their website address, telephone number, email address or any other important information, you will be able to copy it and then paste it into the correct fields.

Assign Categories To Your Contacts

If you have many contacts in your contacts list, it is likely that you might lose track of people that can include the prospective clients also. By assigning categories to contacts, you will be able to easily locate the names of the people that you need to contact for any reason.

Review Of Facebook Messenger App For Windows Phone

Every day, new third party software companies are releasing their apps in the Windows app store. Facebook Messenger was amongst the first to release their Microsoft 8 compatible app in the Window app store because of its popular demand. Even with its swiftness, a lot of users contacted the Microsoft help forum inquiring why Facebook is not integrated into Windows 8 by default. Like its previous versions, it lets you send messages, photos and stickers to your Facebook friends.

Getting Started with Facebook Messenger

After installation, you will be prompted to log in using your Facebook account upon loading. Once the website has loaded, the app will further request for your phone number, so that even people who have your phone number can contact you in the messenger, even if the person is not friends with you in Facebook. Do note that this feature is optional and can be opted out of.

Facebook Messenger Features

If you are a Facebook user, chances are you have been using the mobile Facebook messenger app for some time. Even if you are a first time user, you will feel familiar once you start using the app because of the design similarity with Facebook.com.

The main screen, which is called Recent, will show all the recent conversations you had with your friends. Upon installation, this screen will not have any conversations. Upon use, you will see the last message, name and display picture of the friends you had conversation with.

Next to the photos, a narrow color icon shows if the user is online or not. If the icon is blue, it shows that the user is using the Facebook Messenger App and is currently logged in and available. If the icon is grey, it means that the user is not online at the moment.

By swiping your finger or tapping on the pages, you can enter the other pages in the app. These are Messenger and Active respectively. As the name suggests, Active gives a list of users that are online at the moment while Messenger gives the complete list of all your friends. Both these pages could have been integrated into a single one which shows the entire friend list and online contacts. The current design is redundant and rarely used by most users.

If you have any issues installing or running the Facebook Messenger on Windows 8 platform, feel free to contact the Microsoft help forum.

These two applications are very widely used in the corporate environment. Without the Microsoft Help and Support services for them, it would not be safe or practical to use them anymore. However, upgrading to the new Microsoft operating systems would require huge investment.

Upgrading to MS Office Cloud service package

Many corporate customers are wary about investing in the new versions of MS Office and MS Exchange Server applications. They reckon that these too would become obsolete in the next couple of years and the money they invested on them would go to waste.

This is why Microsoft has launched their software-as-a-service cloud platform. Here, you would no longer be purchasing the full version software applications for your organisation. Instead, you would be subscribing to a cloud service that will be upgraded periodically.

This means that you will be using the latest MS Office and MS Office Exchange application provided by Microsoft through their online cloud service. You need not worry about upgrading the latest software applications, or about the money you spent on purchasing software applications going to waste, when they become obsolete.

Use the Exoprise application to evaluate the benefits of this upgrade

Now, even after the End of Support date for the MS Office 2003 and MS Exchange Server 2003 applications, many corporate users are still not convinced about the benefits of upgrading to the new MS Office 365 cloud services. They are not sure about the return on investment they would get from subscribing to the MS Office 365 Exchange Online service as opposed to using a standalone Exchange Server application.

The recently released Exoprise CloudReady Insight application would help you in this task. This application is available for free to all the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 users. When you install and run this application in your system, it would assess all the MS Office and MS Exchange Server needs of your organisations.

This application helps in planning the software migration, in checking the system readiness as well as in assessing the cost benefits of using the cloud subscription package as opposed to using a standalone Exchange Server solution.
