How To Fix Wi-Fi Problems In Windows 8

Windows 8 is the latest operating system coming from the Redmond giant Microsoft and is blessed with several exciting features. Even though the tech giant brought some changes in the user interface and features, the Windows 8 OS is also affected with some Windows 8 problems regarding Wi-Fi connectivity. Switching off of the Wi-Fi without a notice is the primary issue that is faced by many Windows 8 users. Many who tried their best to sort out the issue were unable to find the actual cause for the problem. Sometimes, it may be due to some physical switches or keyboard commands that resulted in switching off of the wireless connection without a notification. Now, let’s look at some of the methods available to fix the Wi-Fi problems with Windows 8.

As the first step, you need to check whether you have turned off the option for Wi-Fi in your device accidently. For the users who are using a touch screen, they need to keep the finger on the right side of the device and reveal the Charms bar by sliding your finger to the left. However, desktop users who are using mouse and keyboard need to keep the mouse pointer on top right part of the screen and click. You can also click the option called Settings. You will be able to see a small meter with a red X running in the Settings, if your device's Wi-Fi option is turned off. It is generally seen on top of the unavailable icon. To open up the Wi-Fi menu, you need to either tap or click that icon.

Next, you can also click or tap the switch called Off in the Settings menu of your Wi-Fi device. Now, your computer will be connected to the Wi-Fi network within seconds. These are some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you need to take care of if you have any issues with your Wi-Fi in the Windows 8 computer. Nowadays, in order to provide an uninterrupted service, all the internet service providers are very keen on providing connections using good cables and wiring. It is better to check your Wi-Fi modem and router, if none of your device at home is able to connect to the Wi-Fi internet. If anything is wrong, then contact your ISP to get it replaced with a new one.

These tips will help you to fix some of the common problems of Wi-Fi connectivity in Windows 8. For more on Windows 8 problems, contact the Windows 8 support number.
