Never Miss Out On Important Days

Are you tired of missing out on your appointments? Forgotten your friend’s birthday recently? Did you forget to get your wife an anniversary gift? Well you no longer have to worry about forgetting important dates and deadlines. With the Windows Vista OS, you can make sure you never miss out on anything. You can create appointments and keep reminders in Windows Calendar for Windows Vista, so that you never lose track of your schedule.
It is very common to forget the trivial details, and sometimes even important dates, when you are completely preoccupied and bogged down by a busy schedule. This article will help you learn to customize and setup reminders without a hassle. Use the following instructions:
  • Click the Start button located in your desktop, in the bottom left corner, to open the Start menu. Expand the All Programs option, and choose Windows Calendar from the list.
  • Here you will see a couple buttons labeled New Task or New Appointment. Selecting these will open a new and empty appointment, which you can edit and add to your Windows Calendar.
  • Now in the Details Pane of the appointment, type in the significance of the date i.e. the objective of the appointment. Also, ensure whether you wish to be reminded of the appointment by Windows Calendar.
  • When you click anywhere beyond the New Task/New Appointment pane your appointment reminder will appear in your daily calendar.
  • Select the View button. By clicking the View button you can go through your calendar. Click on the down arrow on the View button to select a type of view, like Month or Week. Regularly checking up on the calendar will help you know the schedule for the month or week, so you are not delayed by last minute decisions.
You can also opt to share your calendar online by selecting Share, then Publish, followed by a URL of the location you want to post your calendar at. This feature is very helpful for others who may be trying to set up an appointment with you and lets you know ahead of time the days you are most likely to be free. You can configure the calendar to be published automatically.
Using File then Import, you can download calendars from other programs like Outlook which has its own calendar. In the Import dialog box, enter the filename and decide whether you want a new calendar or to integrate two calendars.
