Sending Emails From Other Addresses In Microsoft Outlook Webmail

Microsoft Outlook is the popular email client from Microsoft and recently the users using Outlook.com has crossed 400 million, as per the Microsoft statement. The statement also talked about a new technique for those users who want to communicate from other email accounts in Outlook.com. With the new feature, a user can send email from other email service provider’s account and it will look like the email that you are sending came from the original email service provider. Given below are few instructions that will help you to add email in Outlook, which will help you to send emails from other addresses in Outlook.com.

Instructions
  • Start the process by opening the Outlook webmail account. Then, you need to click the option called Settings, followed by More Mail Settings. Next, you need to click the option called Your email accounts that is seen under the section called Managing your account. From the list of option, find the option labeled Add an email account and click the button that is named as Add a send-and-receive account.
  • Next, you need to type your email address and password in the corresponding fields, followed by clicking the button called Next. Click the link called Advanced, if you face any issues while logging in to the account. Setting the POP and SMTP server settings is carried out from this section. Keep in mind that to enable POP download from Gmail account is required to add a Gmail account.
  • After logging in to the email account using Outlook.com, the system will ask you the location where the emails are to be saved. After finding a suitable location, you need to click the button labeled as Save. It is possible to select either an existing folder or a new folder to save the emails.
  • Adding your Gmail account to Outlook will take very less time and once it finishes, click the button that is labeled as Go to your Inbox.

Clicking on your name will open a drop down list showing the list of email addresses that you can use. This will become very helpful when you are starting to compose a new email message. Whenever sending emails, if you want the default From address to be the account that you just created, go back to the page called Account settings where you can find the default From address configuration setting. The default From address can be chosen from the drop down menu of accounts.
